As a Bitcoin miner, entrepreneur and Web3 enthusiast I see the potential that cryptocurrencies have to revolutionize the way we look at money. I recognized there was a significant use case for Bitcoin that has not been fully realized - its use as a medium of exchange. Specifically, it has the potential to vastly improve the way we send money in support of charitable causes. This is especially true for those living in impoverished countries where the need for support is greatest, but the financial infrastructure isn't established the same way it is in countries like the United States. That's why I founded Tithe with Bitcoin back in 2018, to enable churches and other charities to accept Bitcoin as a form of donation. This led me to connect with Antioch Independent Baptist Church in Muhuru Bay, Kenya. I helped Pastor Ken set up the church to accept Bitcoin in donation, but the needs of their community are great. Far greater than I can support on my own. So in 2022 I founded Charity NFT Project, Inc to help build a charitable fundraising strategy using Web3 technology. With everyone's help, we can change the lives of those around the world that need it most, one NFT at a time.
